We Visit a Local Flower Farm

Oh, hello again! It has been awhile since we posted but we are so glad to be back to blogging! We felt this was the perfect way to jump back into this thing, writing about our experience visiting a local flower farm.

Last weekend we visited Bantam and Bloom for Shelby’s birthday. She is obsessed with flowers, gardening, and all living things in general. So this was a dream experience for her. The couple that runs the farm were so knowledgeable and incredible sweet. They not only grow these amazing flowers but make wedding arrangements, be sure to check them out if you are getting married anytime soon.

We toured a flower green house, cut our own flowers, learned how to grow dahlias (one of the prettiest flowers click here if you are not aware), and took a floral arranging class. This ended up being a perfect Covid time activity because you are outside and socially distanced the entire time.

Scroll through to see all about our visit to this dreamy farm.

Picking flowers.
Showing off our arrangements. We honestly impressed ourselves!
Everything we learned to make.

And here are our final results, who do you think did better?

Katie’s Arrangement:

My inspiration when designing this arrangement (and life in general) was Marie Antoinette.

Shelby’s Arrangement:

She wanted lots of greenery and large flowers.

Visiting a local flower farm was such a fun experience and we learned so much. We defiantly recommend to anyone looking to leave their home, learn a new skill, and still social distance rules in your area.
